you can make payments on the exact same 849, and pay it over time.... once its paid off..... use it as long as you want, then sell the shyt on ebay, throw it in the river, do whatever you want



or



you can make payments on the exact same 849 for 12 months.... and then turn in your phone after 12 months, which would NOT equal 849... and get the 7 and continue making the payments on the 7

then completely pay off the 7 and it's yours... or only pay for 8 months... and get the 8.... and so on




no different than a car... you can buy it in cash.. make payments until it's yours... or trade it in next year for the new model and start making payments on the new one





att offsets this with a lower monthly plan... i get unlimited everything and 6 gbs data for 39.99 when it used to be 89.99 when i was buying the phones for 299-399 a pop

they are basically saying, no we aren't giving you 500 off the phone anymore, but we will give you 500 off the bills... because we are no longer going to buy these phones and wait 2 years to get our money back.... you buy it your damn self and we'll make our money starting now

no i have had att for the past 10 years... i was the same as y'all... angry as fukk i couldn't do my "buy for 299, sell 2 years later for 400 on ebay, get new iphone for 299" hustle anymore

so i started looking into the "lease" thing. first year i kept upgrading... fukk it... my payments stayed at 47 regardless if i paid it off or upgraded.... but my bill went from 139 a month to 80 something on lease... so it came out to 140 either way


then i didn't see the benefit of getting a 6 plus... so i ended up paying the 6 off... i kept the phone, my bill still stayed at 80 tho.... needed some money... sold it for $530 2 months ago and got a 6s plus for the 47 a month again



i mean no matter how you try and finesse it... these companies gonna get their money

att gets paid off phone service... they USED to buy a 850 phone, let you pay 299 for it, then get their money back on OVERCHARGING you for 2 years..... but you know not everyone would stay 2 years.. they'd fukk off on their bill, but still have a phone, so the company never got back the money they spent on the phone

all they doing now is saying, ok we'll charge you what it really cost (take $50 off the bill), but you gotta buy the phone off top (they never made money selling phones anyway), and if you leave early, you pay that money in full

I'm on Jump...my phone cracks or gets fukked up, I pay the damn deductible and that's that. But I put cases on my phones So I don't have to deal with dumb shyt like that. ATT has been gay for A LONG ASS TIME. Got rid of them back in 2010...got the Nexus One for just 180 on T Mobile and have been #TMob since. I feel sorry for those having Coverage issues but I can't relate to that. I download and upload from 3.5 to 7mb speeds via torrents. I don't give a fukk.
