:camby:Good riddance people shouldn’t be enjoying watching others get killed

now they just need to get rid of flyheight and worldstarr or at least remove foul content on worldstarr
That shyt is like Hydra’s head: you cut off one and another two pop up. Sadly, as long as there’s an audience, someone will provide the platform.

Found a very informative comment under some elevator-related fukkery:ohhh:

Just a few elevator safety tips:

  1. Never exit an unleveled car. If an elevator stops and the floor isn't level at the bottom, do not try and exit the car. Making your meeting or whatever isn't worth potentially being cut in half. There's a reason the elevator isn't level, and it's usually not good. Hit the call button and wait for someone to secure the elevator car.

  2. The safest place in an elevator is the car itself. The #1 job of the elevator is to ensure that passengers in the car do not die. There are multiple safety measures (including if all cables snap). Even if the car were to completely fall, there are dampeners at the bottom. You won't be in good shape if it ever comes to that, but you likely won't die. For these reasons, do not attempt to leave the elevator through the top, like you see in movies. There is nothing for you in the hoistway, you do not know what you're doing. Without the necessary lock-outs, the car could also begin moving at any moment. You would put yourself in much greater danger.

  3. Due to tips 1 and 2, do not ever try and pry the doors open. If an elevator gets stuck it's likely to be between floors, and if it's not, it's almost certainly unleveled. Prying the doors open, even if you can manage it, will only make things harder for the elevator technician.

  4. While tip 3 exists, there is one thing you can try. If the elevator isn't moving, but the doors won't open, you can try placing your palms flat on the doors. On hand on each. Applying light pressure, push the doors towards each other, closing them. Occasionally the doors won't fully close, which causes the elevator controller to stop all actions. This can fix it if there's a slight misalignment. Small note, do not do this if there's a large gap at all (greater than a centimeter), that's a whole other issue.

  5. If there's a greater emergency than just being delayed (i.e. you need insulin or something), call the fire department. The elevator call button just goes to the front desk. Their priorities aren't always what they should be. The fire department's priority is to safely extract you, not lowering repair costs.
