You KNOW how hard it has been to get ppl to respect and adhere to covid safety regulations.

I understand that sometimes when you're the one in charge, you may flout the rules here and there, as long as you don't do it too often. There are very few ppl who wouldn't, kinda like a cop who speeds from time to time to get where he's going when there isn't a legal emergency.

But in this situation where ppl are looking for ANY way to get out of obeying regulations, you have to dot your i's and cross your t's. You have to be the perfect example that ppl can look up to.

If someone is obese and dies from covid are they not a covid death? If someone gets a heart transplant and then dies from covid are they not a covid death? Deaths without any other context are not the only deaths that count. Just look at the excess death figures which show you the number of deaths over what you would expect and that would clearly show you that COVID is killing people.

Article is not correct,mask mandates are still in effect in the Netherlands as is proof of vaccination/booster or recovery for entrance in restaurants,bars, movie theaters, museums and gyms. If the numbers show that hospitalisations go up too much,bars, restaurants etc get closed again after a 6 week lockdown we just had. But the long term strategy has to be towards treating this as an endemic seasonal headache, reacting the way we have done , we'll never get out of the two step of lockdown and opening back up only to rinse and repeat. The goal was never to keep people from being infected,it was to manage the pressure on hospitals/ICU and health care workers. If you are walking this earth you will get covid regardless of your vax status in your lifetime,that's not even a question.

Wrong. We can only live with it if the vast majority of the populace is responsible enough to get vaccinated. This is why countries with a strong sense of collective responsibility have an advantage over shythole "I do as I like" countries like the USA.

Wrong. You dont have a choice. You have to live with it. It is not asking for your or anyone's permission. It is staying! Its already been almost 3 years. VAx been out for a year. Still No end in sight. Its here to stay. We must adapt.
