I always wonder why R&B music on a popular level faded away, women LOVED this music, I find it hard to believe there is no money in R&B, this song for example reached top 5 on the pop charts, many women were never big with rap, look at the popularity of Bryson Tiller and he's not even a good vocalist and has decent music at best. I understand rap is easier and cheaper to produce but I feel like there is a huge void missing in music without R&B on a popular level. I mean women are settling for Drake singing now.

That is why Hotline Bling was such a smash. The shyt brought back that goofy 90s feel. The shyt was not serious at all. Everyone was able to stop holding their breath for a second. We need more of that.
