One of my top 5 favorite rappers of all time, and if I were to seriously sit and do the math probably responsible for more songs I've personally enjoyed than pretty much any rapper i can think of outside of Nas with his unofficial catalog factored in ...I almost hope he's serious just so he can stop being mainstream rap antichrist to rap smarks and start getting his "he's not popping anymore, so let's reminisce back in the day" nostalgic bonus points...but I seriously doubt he's done...he already gave an out with the "well, it's definitely the last Carter" caveat

2014 is shaping up to be a crazy year :whew:

Wayne retiring from solo albums, Kendrick dropping a monster follow-up, Nas dropping his final album on Def Jam, Ross still hanging on

'01-'03 (sqad up era) has a good portion of the best verses he ever spit

ehh, for me that was like the dark era of Cash Money....only thing I remember being close to good was a few Big Tymers songs, and the song "Way of Life".....it wasn't until 04 came around with Juvie the Great and The Carter that I started checking for them again.

I can dig it..those years were mainly the beginning of his mixtape run, so i can feel if you were only really hearing the actual cash money releases back then
