there was definitely more behind that slap than Chris' joke. Not saying there was more behind the scenes that Chris said or did, but Will had a lot of pent up thoughts and feelings going into that

Chris Rock at that moment represented all the laughs and ridicule in the past couple of years.....The talk of Wills mental state has me questioning why wasn't he escorted right out....meanwhile Ye is banned from participating at the Grammys for a few tweets and a music video. Both of them powerful middle aged African-American entertainers, with troubled marriages/relationships, ticking time bombs. Yes its more apparent in Ye, but ever since the Red Table Will hasn't been the same....somethings been off about him.

First of all ya'll gotta think of the context. It probably took Chris a full second to process what even happened. No one expects to get smacked in the face on stage at the Oscars. You can see his right hand ball up into a fist and by the time he registers what happened, Will was already walking away.

Will is way bigger than Chris and knows how to box. Chris has admitted in specials before that he can't fight and knows when to back down. If Will had just kept assaulting him then sure, he would've probably tried to defend himself until security made it to them.

The Oscar's is damn near the last place on earth where anyone in the building expects a physical confrontation between 2 of the participants.

It was like one strike of lightning and then it was over as fast as it started. Chris would've been stupid to escalate it...it would've looked bad and he would've gotten fukked up.

I understand pent up frustration and people constantly making jokes, but you shouldn't physically attack someone over a joke.

Comedians like to talk shyt and hide under the guise that “it’s a joke.”

They can be very funny style.

He’s going in on a frail black woman in her 50s over her having alopecia, but yet made a documentary about black women’s hair and how important it is to the black community. You can’t make this shyt up.
