Nobody's saying you can't make a joke. Everybody knows that everyone doesn't respond the same way to a joke. Some people get offended. Being offended, how one reacts to a joke is unpredictable. Chris Rock was still laughing and joking when Will got up on the stage.
I've watched Shaq's comedy specials and I've seen comedians say some crazy jokes about Shaq to his face. He laughed. It was funny. I remember one special where there was a couple in the audience. Dee Ray pointed them out. He instructed the wife to stand up. She stood up and he told her husband "see how quick she stood up don't you. That's how quick I could get her to go down on me". He was much more vulgar than I'm remembering it.

You should be able to joke with your friends/comrades, it would be different if it were cats you did not know at all. They are one of the most famous couples there is, if you cant take the heat then leave Hollywood for good. Jokes, Paparazzi and etc all comes with the territory. You hear worse at a comedy roast.

While both are household names, both of their names took a big pique of interest again and added a new talking/conversation point whenever one of them get brought up. shyt, whenever the Oscar's get brought up there's potential for this to get brought up.

Some people are "outraged" about this and will express it, but that kind of energy leaves the people they dislike around longer and gets their supporters going harder.
