It would’ve been hilarious but he was smart not to. It made him look like a pro. Less distracting from the actual awards, and if he ever wanted and invite back he could’ve hurt his chances by keeping a heated situation flared up and not cooling it off. Will might’ve gone back up there, and even if he didn’t the vibe would’ve been more tense.

I’m sure Chris will talk about it on his next tour and special.

First of all ya'll gotta think of the context. It probably took Chris a full second to process what even happened. No one expects to get smacked in the face on stage at the Oscars. You can see his right hand ball up into a fist and by the time he registers what happened, Will was already walking away.

Will is way bigger than Chris and knows how to box. Chris has admitted in specials before that he can't fight and knows when to back down. If Will had just kept assaulting him then sure, he would've probably tried to defend himself until security made it to them.

The Oscar's is damn near the last place on earth where anyone in the building expects a physical confrontation between 2 of the participants.

It was like one strike of lightning and then it was over as fast as it started. Chris would've been stupid to escalate it...it would've looked bad and he would've gotten fukked up.
