Man Will is a bigger sensation and it’s no doubt about it. All this proves is how much Chris has appealed to the white audience over the years.

fukk outta here.

Will Smith has been “one of the good ones” to white America.

Who do you think was getting jiggy to those wack albums and buying those popcorn movie tickets?

Acting wise, Smith is hit or miss.

Rock is widely considered one of the greatest comedians of all time.

nikka Rock ain’t a bigger sensation than Will and cause Will did friendlier music he’s appealing to white people? Newsflash nikka. Any artist. Street or not. Is mostly being consumed by white people once they reach certain millions. Regardless. Chris Rock has definitely towed the line of making fun of black people for white’s consumption. And imma leave this here.

We could see the difference between how they treated Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Oscars. They coddled Will and he wasn't even the one who was slapped. "Well, Rock made fun of Will's wife". They didn't flock to see how she was doing either.

I understand why Will did what he did, but there was definitely a difference of how they responded to both Chris Rock and Will Smith.

Chris Rock is a legendary stand up comedian. His movie career is TRASH. Will Smith made hit songs that spanned two decades, made an iconic television show that changed the landscape of TV as we know it & also was a major movie star who had a long run of 100+ million dollar box office smash hits. It’s really no comparison.

I didn’t say anything about being a “sensation.” That just means being a pop culture hit (see: crossover success.)

Smith has towed the line for mainstream (white) success by being family friendly and making music for that middle America feels comfortable with. Safe. Marketable. Why do you think Quincy approached him to be in a TV show in the first place?

Not sure how this became an apples and orange argument between the two.

I'm talking about at the show.

After the fact, there's been a lot of backlash from us especially comedians towards Will Smith.

nikka stop being a goof. I’m not bout to sit here and shyt on a man for being more straight laced like that takes away from his blackness. That nikka has NEVER hid his blackness and always tried to represent in the mainstream and it ain’t even like he has a bunch of white movies. He has played a bunch of prominent black figures on film. Whether the film ends up successful or not. Y’all not bout to pull this bullshyt in no way shape or form is Chris Rock more of an icon. Better movie star. Or put in as much work as Will Smith has over the years. Outside of comedy. Ur buggin the fukk out.

No. At the show. Look at who checked on him. Denzel. Samuel L Jackson. Tyler Perry. Etc etc. don’t get it twisted brother. Now all the white actors and “comedians” are “traumatized”. Smh.

One’s half truth and the rest is hyperbole or untrue.

Again, why is this a contest? Rock is one of the best in his craft. Smith has managed to have great success through good marketing and hard work. Neither has anything to do with what happened. Just why they were in the same room.

Yeah that Louis CK segment will always have him looking funny in the light.

And it doesn't go away because of his talent. White boy has clearly said that him in private before, and he laughed and shuffled. Eventually the same white boy felt comfortable saying it to him publicly.

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I’ll give you hard work for sure.

The rest is a misinterpretation of my post responding to accusations attacking Chris’s blackness.

Acting like Spike Lee slapped Chris Rock.

No. I said that compared to Will. Chris has aimed his comedy catering to white people a lot of the time. That’s what it is my guy. Look at who all coming to Chris’ defense. Talking about their “traumatized” n shyt. Bunch of crackers. But look who came to his care at the show. The most prominent black actors. Will has helped ALL these pieces of shyt at one point in his career. He was wrong but the way they tryna bury homie for this ONE mistake out of his 30 year career is insane to me.
