Isn'the Sony is still moving the most consoles, even with the cheaper alternatives on the market?
They don't have to play defense right now, so you won't see a price drop until the holidays.
At this point & time, the loss from consumers who can only "afford" to pay $349 instead of $399 is inconsequential to them.
$50 dollar gap but the fans of the Sony brand who want a PS4 will buy one regardless at the current price.
A price drop for the holidays is inevitable as they're competing for the casuals and children but for now, they're coasting.

PS4 development compared to its other consoles is pretty slow imo (solely based on technology boost, graphics, and more capabilities) it wasnt until this years E3 we finally got a library full of games and most of em still dont come out until the next year and before then there wasn't much to cop. They still make game designed consoles as well like the batman arkham knight version which is now a new thing for every blockbuster game that comes out and they always sell. That price aint dropping till at least 2017 bet
