The price increases starting tomorrow suggest the ps6 won't release until 2028 or 2029 after the tariffs end. Could be $500 for the ps6 without a disc drive either way.

I could see a $500 digital ps6 and $550 ps6 with a disc drive being the new standard even after the tariff ends. A $750 or beyond ps6 will not sell well.
My breh. The switch 2 cost $500

No way in hell ps6 is $500

Also the disc drive has always cost $100.

If there is a new disc drive(which i doubt) it will be $100

The attachable disc drive will be $80 to $100. The bundle price could be $550, the same as the current ps5. The ps5 pro is being sold at a profit and costs 2% higher to create than the ps5. Sony would be stupid to sell the ps6 at $750 or beyond. That would be a worser situation than the $600 ps3. Notice they stopped at $550 with the ps5? Sony does not want to repeat the disaster of the $600 ps3.

The difference in price between the PS5 disc and discless was $100.

There probably won’t even be a bundle at launch. The standalone drive that out now will probably work with PS6. But i doubt there will be a new drive for PS6

It’s 2025. Talking about what happened in 2006 is asinine.

Costs are up, and sony is not taking a loss on a console anymore.

$500 won’t get you a significant upgrade over the PS5 pro. It’s economics.

Lowest price possible is $600, and that’s wishfull thinking.

The ps5 pro is only 2% higher than the ps5 to produce, that's what you keep ignoring. Talking about 2006 is not asinine because that's relevant to this day, with Sony still talking about that in 2025. Sony will not sell at a profit at first when needed the same way they did with the ps5 because they want a console that sells to the mass market. Sony knows the ps6 will not sell well with a starting price of $750 or beyond. A $600 starting price will also not sell well.

Even if your cac tweet figures are real, PS5 is $550 right now.

No way in hell the PS6 comes in less than that.

You like looking at the past.

Check the PS4 price 2-3 years before the PS5

PS4 could be had with a game for $200 in 2018.

2 years later PS5 launched for $500.

Prices don’t go down over time, they go up. If PS5 is $550 right now. Expect the PS6 to cost more in a few years.

You ignored the $500 digital ps5. Unless Sony decides to not sell to the mass market, the ps6 will need to be $500 without a disc drive and $550 bundle with the disc drive.
