I wonder what the book will cover. Maybe the origin story? I guess since the original trilogy technically isnt canon, he can do whatever he wants, but that would be weak if he contradicted himself.

Most likely an origin story. Maybe even heavily featuring the Chiss (who are now recanonized with this news )? And/or Thrawn's escapades in the Unknown Regions? How Palpatine encountered him, how he ascended to Grand Admiral in the human centric Empire etc. I doubt it's post ROTJ or post Rebels.



Speaking of Rebels, it would be interesting if Thrawn isn't killed off in season 3, but is sent back to the Unknown Regions by Palpatine, like Legends Instead of forming the EOTH, he could even tie into the beginnings of the First Order out there...

There's so much out there. It's important to remember just because the character Thrawn is now canon, doesn't mean everything that happened in the Thrawn Trilogy is canon.

Origin story makes the most sense. It's pretty fun to think about.

It's worth it. Star Wars is the only thing I really nerd out on, and maybe ASOIAF. Most of the books are pretty good. They're all pretty short, so if you hate them, it's not that much wasted time.

Im not a comic book guy. Ive never been into them but forcing myself to read the Star Wars ones. I dont think they're must reads, but it's pretty cool how they're tying everything together.

Im in the last 100 pages of Life Debt, and theyve had some characters in the comics which makes reading them worth it.


I was pretty pissed the trashed all the old canon at first, but now I think it's a great idea. Makes everything more streamline and more meaningful.
