I usually only use hot sauce as a condiment for fried fish especially when they fry it with a lighter batter like cornmeal or a seafood breader.

When I eat long john silvers or captain Ds heavy beer batter type fried fish, I used to as a kid use ketchup with that type of fried fish.

Also when making fried fish at home....if it's seasoned well enough....most of the time I don't need anything for it cuz its seasoned so good...not even hot sauce.
