They'd have to show that he IS a flight risk. Privileged family actually suggests that he'd be more likely to stay and stand trial. Use his family's resources to buy the best lawyers and its influence to sway the DA.

Huh? Didn't this Patterson guy have a history of violence and he still was able to get bail on killing an infant? And it wasn't even an accidental death that baby was brutally murdered. So much for justice.

Nothing was said about taking his passport, monitoring him, or his travel being restricted, his initial bail wasn't even lowered.

He's also IS a threat to the public considering he has history of violence against women and children.

And that's the claim you've failed to back up.

Having more resources to flee does not mean he's more likely to flee.

At no point did I say he was more likely to flee.

I said he was a possible flight risk, you said everyone is a possible flight risk. If you had just stopped there I'd have agreed but pointed out that it's easier for someone with a degree of wealth to run is they choose to go that route. But you had to go that extra step talking about people of privilege are less likely to bolt because they can fight the case and influence officials.
