In terms of Kendrick . . there's a clear disparity between what these two are doing. Imagine me lending my support to this guy over Kendrick even though he vocally sounds a lot like Kendrick.. He might even be directly influenced by Kendrick, I wouldn't doubt it - he's just doing music better
Musically they share some similarities but overall they're pretty different artists.
Whatever disparity you're speaking of doesn't exist to my ears and I imagine many others
would share my opinion.

They talk about different topics : Kendrick Lamar is more focused on the realities of mortality and the separation
of man and myth. While Anderson. Paak tends to talk more about "personal" things or incorporates them into his music
like love, drug use etc. (there are exceptions to this in either artists discography...)

They explore different types of music Anderson for example has no problem sliding some "House" music into his "Soul", while Kendrick
is more partial to Jazz and Funk. There's no bebop to be found on Venice, Malibu, his breezy lovejoy material OR NxWorries tape.

And the sheer amount of love and effort put into either artists last album shows :yeshrug: I enjoy them both.
Vocally they sound like California Natives but they don't rap alike or really sound alike. If the two were on a song together (They have been...)
it's pretty easy to distinguish who is who.

Either way, your last post about "Soul" and "Intellect" was confusing.
