Do some of you nikkas know anything about Blaine Gabbert? Do you know his career numbers? Have you watched him play? Kaep is actually playing better this year (if you can believe it) than any Gabbert season/career.

I agree with all you are saying but it's clear what has happened here. The 49ers have given up on the season and don't want Kaep to get hurt so they have to pay him.
If they were still trying to win games, Kaep would be playing, but they're not.

I gotta disagree. They compare White QB's constantly. Hell, I don't even know if they believe Joe Flacco IS elite yet. And the championship game BTW the Falcons and Eagles the year we were beat by the Patriots when Vick and Nabb were starting was the most hyped thing I've seen in a very long time.
It's just that outside that season, you don't see a bunch of Black QB's playing elite football at the same time. Russell is too meek and humble to really hype outside being a good to great player at times and a perennial saccharine nice guy, that we don't buy. And even he's not playing great football this year.
If Cam and Kaep could play great football at the same time, we'd hear mobile QB hype again, now that Luck is falling off.

I don't see this as necessarily shytting on Cam. I think he's great and still has my vote for MVP. It just goes to show how football is a team sport, and how the factors out of a QBs control will allow the media to drive a narrative.
