Once people understand that the NFL is the football equivalent of the WWE and that Kaepernick and 9ers took a heel turn a couple seasons ago, then they will get what happened. His storyline is over. Just like RgIII they made it look like he can't play and "adjusted" his ass from the field to the oak. You don't just go from being able to throw a football to not being able to do it. The NFL can make a helpless position like QB look like a bytch one week and a god the next and injuries and effectiveness play a role as well. Notice how Cam suddenly looks like a god while Wilson is hanging on just barely and two stars of 2012 are now wood carvings? Tyrod Taylor rises, Geno Smith falls, Cam Rises, Kaepernick falls. Bridgewater Rises, RgIII falls. It happens to white QBs too but the NFL has earmarks on the QB position especially. Keep wondering why the box scores fall around the vegas lines or X and Y fantasy player seems to play like shyt when they are supposed to produce or some no-name runs wild suddenly when he was not drafted by anyone? It's entertainment so don't lose sleep over it. Enjoy the plays and the hits. I loved watching Rodgers get made to look like shyt on Sunday. They pulled his card and he couldn't do shyt out there.

It's more of the type of QB in Kaep's and RG3 Case. Option QB's generally don't farewell in the NFL. Besides Cam and Donovan McNabb. Who else has been successful? The story of Kaep and RG3 is that they didn't have to read a Defense in college. You can't come to the NFL and succeed until your team is stacked and the defense is not used to your offense. 2012 was the year of the read option. RG3 and Kaep succeeded. Defense adjusted to it. Now when you try to run a pro form offense where they have read defenses. The result is poor.

I remember all 3 (Kaep, RG3, and Wilson) getting a lot of hype and pub that year. We clearly aren't watching the same sports networks, because they've crapped on Peyton and Luck a lot this year. It's very true Black QB's don't get second chances, but I think that has to do more with hype and salary than White QB's.

I just don't see a lot of brothers taking QB minimum, when they were once the anchors of their teams. Notice many of the Blacks QB'S seem to be around until their first contract ends.

no, they arent crapping on luck....they use every excuse for him playing bad...they never just say he's playing bad...it's always 'he's playing bad because..' and then they tend to name something besides himself...they doing the same for peyton instead of just saying he's playing bad....

hype and salary? lol get outta here....what does that have to do with anything?....last time i checked, no black qb was hyped like luck and no black qb is getting paid like rivers (his 3rd or 4th contract) to underachieve...i but guess black qbs are asking for more than that $20+ mill a year white qbs get...

brothas not willing to take less money? says who?....i'm pretty sure there are plenty of brothas willing to take backup qb pay, but they just not getting those offers like a matt flynn, matt cassell, mallett, etc. to be a clipboard holder...the reason being they are being held to a different standard...instead of looking at them as qbs, they are only looked at as athletes...and once that ability starts to go, the league treats them like they aint shyt....seriously, no way in hell gabbert should be in the league, but vince isnt...one made chicken salad outta chicken shyt, the other just lost over and over again...

...you're doing the same shyt the media does: make up 'reasons' why white qbs are treated different besides just stating the obvious...

The main excuse used for Luck is injury, and in case you ain't been paying attention, he missed two games this year with injuries.

Luck looked like a top flight passer every year he's been in the league, would it be so shocking that maybe the actual real life injury he did have this year, isn't heeled and that would explain his poor play?

I know what you're saying, he wasn't good before the injury either, but tell me this right now, would you take him on your team for the next 10 years?

I would take him over any QB for the next 10 years, dude threw for 40 tds last year and has gotten better every year, except this one.

Tebow fans would beg to differ. A lot of Black QB's get a lot of hype. Some, if not most, don't end up living up to the hype, because there is a lot more parity in the NFL than in college, and all teams are still not created equal. So when Black QB's flame out, their confidence bottoms a lot faster and they play a lot more poorly, without bouncing back as fast.

Without an ego left to fall back on, while still being god's in their respective colleges, they usually don't put in the work all the scrub White backup players do to get back in the league. You couple that with Tebow syndrome and salary, and you'd understand why a lot of Black QB'S don't come back. It's different when you started as a backup and shot up.

A team is not going to want to bring back a Black QB who flamed out because of those things and also Tebow syndrome. The Black version would be if a Black QB is waiting in the wings, and people feel he's good enough to beat the White QB, they will call the owners racist, when that player may not be good enough to be the starter. We know this will happen. Until that age ends, I don't blame owners for not bringing in borderline stars if they cannot realistically start and lead a team.

Tebow fans do this about Christianity, when most teams pray before games, so don't tell me this shouldn't be a consideration.

Quiet as it's kept, ever since the Niners lost that Super Bowl, folks were looking for any excuse to get rid of both Harbaugh and Kaep.

He (Kaep) most definitely deserves better.

None of this makes any sense at all. NFL is a very random sport, played by extremely competitive individuals. People who are supposed to be major stars get hurt randomly and inevitably (in most cases). Stories can last a full 15-18 years (for the few) or as little as 3 (for at least half, no matter how hyped at the draft). shyt just happens and a new narrative is made for what's going on to entertain you, or if you're a fan of a team, to either bash you, praise your choice, or to keep you from giving up hope.

It is entertainment, but it is obviously not rigged. Some of the stars came from nowhere (The GOAT Tom Brady was a 6th Rd pick), and some lived up for being the chosen one (Peyton Manning). Just enjoy the ride and respect the game.

since you admit he wasnt playing good before the injuries, why are the injuries an excuse for his poor play?...lol come on man....

no, he didnt look like a top flight passer...he had moments, mainly when the colts were losing by double digits, but the shyt that plagued him then, still plagues him now: he holds the ball too long and is a turnover machine...how people ignore that, i have no idea....

nope, i wouldnt take him on my team for the next 10 years....reason being: like i stated, he holds the ball too long and is a turnover machine...he's led the league in turnovers since he's entered it....do i think he's a good qb? yes...but there are others i'd easily take over him...

..

Because it was two games before he got hurt, that in no way is enough to write a guy off as playing poorly. And one of them was vs. a nasty Jets D

Before this year, Luck was in the Top 5 QB's in the league. That skill doesn't change overnight. He did play like trash early, but he tried to do too much with a shoddy Oline, just like Kaep. He's now hurt.

Don't know how this thread became Luck bashing. Would take him over any QB under him once he's healthy. 1. AROD 2. Brady 3. Romo 4. Luck 5. Cam

You shouldn't be so offended. It's just the truth of the situation. There's no grand conspiracy to keep Black QB's out of the league. People want to win, but they don't want to carry undue baggage doing it.

And please don't do the Black militant shyt if you've never played the sport. And I never compared Black QB's to Tebow, I described the Black version of Tebow syndrome. Don't get it twisted to stay in your feelings. Calm down a bit.
