Possibly unrelated, but it looked like Klay was damn tired of having to work so hard on defense and still be expected to put up numbers offensively. Threes save energy and count more so I don't necessarily fault him for it. Besides the three ball is his game. The Dubs need to find a way to conserve him better if Curry is only gonna get cooked and not make them pay on the other end.

I agree, and it's why I consider him the best two guard in the league. But having to expend so much energy on both ends was getting to him imo.

He did this same shyt not too long ago, I think it was in that OKC series. Dude had a layup with Kyrie fukking Irving trailing him, and he decides to run out to shoot a 3

It was JR and they probably would have met at the rim, still should have taken it in hard there instead of backing the ball out to 3

Klay freezes when he gets within 10 ft of the rim and there is a defender nearby, I think Bomani (at least I think it was Bo) has talked about this repeatedly.

He's shooting a higher percentage in the playoffs on open 3s than he is on contested layups..

In fact overall he is shooting 43% from 3 and 46% from 2..

The math shows the risk is worth taking to have a chance at the extra point... I personally think he looked soft and ridiculous and was playing low IQ ball.. But they have analytics out there that supports all types of fukkery...
