Man I like Max. People gotta put this show in the right context. It's really just entertainment more so than "true" sports analysis. Personalities over the content. It's basically two brehs agreeing to have animated "hot takes" about topics they may or may not even really believe or care about. Max may just be too smart to play the game convincingly. Skip was great because his troll game was so effortless. They'll probably never recreate the chemistry between Skip and SAS no matter who they swap out.

that’s what I’m talking about. I miss the ESPN news channel where they ran the same shyt, every 30 minutes and presented it in a CNN manner. Only switching it up when breaking news happened. With the latest news in that little box on the lower right corner.

Id turn that joint on while eating and be up to date with everything in a half hour.

Now everything is a 1-2 hour show of corniness and arguing.

Around the Horn and PTI were the catalyst of this fukkery but those 2 shows were classic back in the day. I always looked forward to them after Jim Rome is Burning.

Yeah everyone thinking that something happened or he’s being pushed out but I’m pretty sure this was just contract negotiations breaking down. Max never worked with SAS. Being on FT means for ratings you’ll have to be a contrarian at times and it was clear he didn’t like that. It’s also not a place for an intellectual to debate anymore. Its just him listening to screaming, SAS talk about how he knows basketball so much, him eye rolling, Molly cutting people off trying to get in the show and now them trying to force feed Perk on everyone talking that dumb shyt and taking the SAS approach…if they ain’t paying me what I want, I’d dip too.

Yeah he's on the show still. They havent addressed anything but theyve had talent leave from one show to do their own before. He'd still be under contract, he's just leaving to create and produce his own show. First Take is just a talking head show. Its not in depth analysis. Literally anyone can be on with either SAS or Max and give takes. I think he's tired of it and has been from the beginning. He just wants his own shyt to produce.
