Hmm i wouldn't say Republicans have obama backed into a corner. Polling is blaming this on republicans for the most part, but obama of course is not gonna be blameless as he's the president.

That is true most polls do have the GOP taking the most blame but its not by a wide margin( haven't seen the recent polls, though so I could be way off on this) also there was a significant percentage of people blaming both Obama and the GOP for the shutdown aswell.

Even though I made the "Obama backed into corner", I hope he stands strong on this.
