:what: Why don't you do the research yourself. You're naive if you think this isn't connected to ISIS. They've been predicting this for almost a year, since ISIS started dominating.

This is why I cannot take you people serious. The ISIS pledge was a vie for media attention by both Al-Shabab and Boko Haram. Neither of them are logistically connected to ISIS.

Second, these attacks go back to 2011.....WAY BEFORE ISIS WAS EVEN A KNOWN ENTITY. Have you ever heard of the Westgate Mall attacks? Do you know suicide bombing that have killed dozens of people has been a regular occurrence in Kenya for the past few years?

The nerve of you to link BUSINESS INSIDER a fukking Western newspaper that has no speciality in African affairs to try to prop up your erroneous statement :heh:

They’ve been hitting quite a few soft targets lately, and there have been reports that ISIS made diplomatic overtures to the al-Qaeda-linked Somali group, calling on them to carry out precisely the sort of attacks they’ve been perpetrating with such frequency.

The attack was most likely in response to the US, Kenya, Uganda, etc killing top Al Shabab officials....not ISIS masterminding some plot to attack Kenya which is of no strategic value to ISIS :dead:

Are you freakin serious? The Westgate Mall attacks have been long tied to terror acts like ISIS. They're considered arch rivals and the NSA is lumping them all in together.

Eh, if you don't want to believe that these things are connected, or can be connected by the right coalitions, then nothing I say will convince you anyway.

What? :mindblown:

Just stop. You clearly have no fukking idea what you are talking about. The Westgate mall attacks predate ISIS and Kenyan/Somalia tension go back to the 60s :heh:

Yes, but Al Shabab, the group that carried it out, is now calling out for similar attacks in malls across London and the US. Like I said, this stuff doesn't happen in isolation, even if the origins start from particular sociohistorical beefs. Eventually it all connects.

This has nothing to do with why this is happening and who is orchestrating it :pachaha:

You're splitting hairs. Yeah, they have their own agenda, as do most localized groups, but at the end of the day Shabaab is a faction of al qaeda, from which ISIS was born. You go on pretending like this isn't all connected in some way.

Yes, yes, they have different origins, but they have formed alliances and are using the clout of other terrorists organizations to bolster their image as a major terrorist group.

Ok? That still has nothing to do with why Al Shabab was formed and who orchestrated these attacks and for what ends :heh:

Because Kenya is a Christian nation that decided to invade and take Somali land. Why would they punish a Muslim minority or any fellow Somalis? Its the same kind of logic that was used when the Black hostages were let go from the Iranian hostage crisis.

nikkas are making threads on incidents without even knowing basic historical context. fukk wrong with you nikkas:what:

...so religion is relevant? :francis:

the ether
religion brehs :mjlol:

@Napoleon :sas2:

yea because there have been multiple cases of this happening:camby:. athiest don't go around killing religious people because they dont agree with them. inb4 you link me 5 cases of this when there are literally hundreds upon thousands of this happening with religious people.

Pol Pot
Stalin
Mao
Burmese Military Junta
North Korea

Come on and act like there aren't plenty of examples of organized atheists committed FAR worse atrocities than what Al-Shabaab did yesterday. Every one of those five puts any religion-based atrocities of the 20th century to shame.

Human wars are happening constantly, and they rarely have to do with religion or lack of religion. Both viewpoints are simply exploited so that those on the top can pursue their goals of conquest and power.
