No Troll: Why is the Xbox1 considered a next gen console? What can you do that you couldnt on 360?

This probably isn't the best thread to ask this question.

But I've always had Xboxes og and a couple of 360's. But I'm on the fence the new xbox is not backwards compatible meaning I won't be able to play 360 games on it but it will have blue ray and act as a media platform but I've also heard streaming vids is a bit more convoluted as well?

So as someone who's always fukked with MS is there any reason a casual gamer (old and have kids) would pick the xbox over the ps4?

Honestly I haven't thought about 360 once since I bought this new system .. I mean I sometime miss the fukkery of gta online Racing and just running up on people but bf4 took over that spot..

It's a great system if you have kids..family etc via the multitasking.. Like everyone in the room doesn't have to focus on you playing a game.. You could snap some music or a show or watch tv ... Like today I was playing bf4 while lil man was watching his cartoons in the tv snapped app.. So we were both entertained.. So i could keep my eyes on him and he ain't tearing up the house .. And he's not board watching a war game he don't understand .. Win for both of us.. However your situation is u can just adjust..


As far as streaming.. I stream my movies and tv shows from my laptop .. So I am 100% that.. you can stream from a windows PC.. via the xbox video app which is free to download .. I don't know about any other CPUs like Apple or android tablets/laptops but most likely you could if u try or look it up online..

Oh and there's a pretty dope app called smart glass which turns your smartphone or tablet or even PC into a remote and other things you can do some crazy shyt with it.. I love how I can control the volume with my iphone without getting my real remote.. Pretty dope..

This whole xbox one experience got me wanting to get a windows phone and download windows 8 on my laptop.. I'm feeling it.. It's smooth to me .. I have really messed with my Apple TV in a min.. This does everything.. All I need are some music apps that do 5.1 surround and my apple tv is in the bushes ... Or a way to stream like airplay on my iphone but stream from my phone to xboxone surround sound ..

hold up my nikka.. i do watch a lot of sports even more now that its nba season. i dont think we have seen "next gen" from anybody yet. i got the xbox 1 and its nothing more than a media hub. i play GAMES

Watching TV and playing games at the same time is now something people want?

Don't knock good features just because your preferred system won't allow you to do it. Anybody can figure out for themselves while even having the option to do so improves the console

Dog real talk I've been able to do that with my mitsubishi 32 inch from 1992 since I had a nintendo. That is NOTHING new, fam. Nothing new at all.

The X1 plays games and 22 of em are available right now...it also does a lot of media shyt...problem? you rather sort through a bunch of remotes, inputs and devices to do different things? cool...enjoy doing that while everyone else is switching from playing games to watching movies to listening to music all on the same device.

It just seems to be an Xbox360 with better graphics, DVD-drive finally replaced with a Blu-ray drive, & a higher-rez Kinect bundled-in.

All i see is MS prompting trivial-ass features.

I can name shyt I can do flawlessly on my 360 that I can't do for shyt on my friends Xbox 1, like start a private party and invite friends in under 10 seconds
