Its fascinating to watch.

People act like this doesn't happen all the time with prosecutors.

They had to get Al Capone on tax evasion. Espionage cases are infamously difficult to win successfully and thats why they take years to investigate.

A lot of posters said nothing much would come of this investigation whether you thought it would be because of white supremacy or if you surmised that Trump would fire/hire in the right people to make it so. I think we can all agree that the Democrats wasted a lot of political capital going after this particular narrative of collusion when there are a number of potentially criminal offenses they could have accused him of and rightfully so. The only real hope of getting him out of office before the 2020 election was impeachment and we know the Republicans (still holding a considerable amount of power) were not going to agree to it.

I think there are two big takeaways that the Democrats are not owning up to in lieu of the initial summary:

1. The Democrats have been extremely inept (whether intentional or unintentional) during the election cycles to put the proper candidates in office and courts. They have failed to live up to their reputation as representatives of the people and instead look like corporate shills. This can be seen in the form of backing Hillary over Bernie, this Russiagate stuff, and IMO their stance immigration.

2. Racism was an extremely important factor in getting Trump elected. Democrats (and liberal whites in general) needed his win to be because of cheating and not because of his ability to tap in to a lot of racism that so many of them claimed was behind us because of Obama.
