She hasn't left the Senate (although I expect her to retire in 2022), she just won't be the chair/ranking member on the judiciary committee. Durbin, 76, is likely to replace her there and he's better than her across the board. Still, I'd prefer they shuffled things around and give it to Sen. Whitehouse.Good news.
