"No Way Out" is like the Eastcoast "Chronic" as far as a Producer/Rapper album. It was so successful and had so many damn hits. Honestly I don't see how it's not a Classic album off Impact alone. The production was TOP NOTCH. People hated on the whole commercial sound and the shinny suits but this album is better than a lot of albums that came after it, real talk. But Diddy is an average emcee. Sure he had some great ghostwriters including Biggie and Jadakiss but the fact remains his delivery on some songs was still average.
It's not better than "Life After Death" cause Biggie is the biggest reason "No Way Out" was a success. "Missing You" which was a Biggie Tribute drove the album. Sure "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" was a massive hit. "Benji's" was a massive Hit but featured Biggie. "Been Around the World" was a massive Hit featured Biggie and "Victory" went Gold Featured Biggie. Ma$e is also a huge reason it was successful. "Life After Death" was the stronger album cause Biggie was the stronger emcee. There are actually less weaker songs on LAD than NWO even though it's the longer album. Overall like I said amazing album and Diddy blew up something heavy with it. But it's not better than LAD. As far as Bad Boy in 97:
LAD >>>>>>> NWO >>>>>>>>>> Harlem World
Biggie >>>>>>>> Ma$e >>>>>>>> Diddy (As Emcees)
Outside of the singles my favorite album cuts were:
