This isn't no elaborate plan of his, “trolling” nor is it “mental illness”. Mental Health issues of any sort doesn't cause somebody to do a ³⁶⁰ and become a house nikka overnight.
Mental health doesn't change a person's character nor moral to this extent. If that's the case every Black person with mental health issues would be a house nikka/c00n by that logic and we all know that's not the case. Kanye knows what he's doing and what's he's saying, these aren't just random outbursts that are “out of his control”.
These are his true feelings and thoughts that he likely has always had in him but was afraid to express them due to where he was at in his career because just like many of you here on TheColi he spent a good part of his early career (in y'all case; posting history) creating a faux image/character deceiving the people.
