You kinda missed my point. I'm just saying that nikkas are focused on the wrong things. Most of these rappers are broke as shyt, talking about nothing but money, drugs, hoes, jewelry and cars...meanwhile they don't have much of any of that, so why not change direction and try to make music that will actually put money in your pocket? Why not figure out how to reach a broader audience and actually get paid? All these nikkas look stupid for no reason. They're using ignorance to get attention but the attention ain't turning into no real money.

And you can say what you want about the song but every bar I've been in, events, NBA Commercials, I want to say one of those EA games, the radio, all are playing this song. Of course nikkas don't like the song because 20 nikkas didn't get shot, nobody hoe got taken, and nobody had on a Rolie

you make a good point, but assuming nikkas dont like the song cuz guns werent being bust in it is oversimplifying it a ton.

i dont like the song cuz its not interesting. its just as derivative as anything else out there.

its catchy sure, and im 100% my girlfriend will make me listen to it when we are driving and it comes on the radio

i think the artists need to stay true to themselves so we agree there. the weeknd made a song about cocaine and instead of marking it dark and ominious, him and max martin made it bright and catchy and boom, that nikka is winning.

flor-rida stays winning too, hes out here killin it making his club jams that white college kids and suburban moms love. get $$

but to say that all these trap nikkas making savage music or frontin broke rappers should take this same route or finding ways to make their drill shyt reach a broader audience? nah.

not everything is meant for a broader audience. artists should be finding ways to reach the audience that connects with their music and message, while being as authentic as they can. thats what brings people in, aside from generic hits

i think nikkas get lost trying to be super real or super hard when thats not them, and that causes problems with the music and beyond. but its definitely a balance.

nah. it's a pop song with a breakbeat and some trap. Y'all forget that pop is the great vulture. It assimilates whatever is known and makes it accessible.

My House and this are miles apart, and they both use Impeach The President:



hip hop is a 'hard'/'raw' feeling more than anything. There's nothing remotely hard or raw about Flo Rida's track. I wouldn't be surprised if they softened the snare or made the breakbeat more limp to be suitable for radio.

Not a bad song though. Not great, but that's the point - something accessible enough for everyone to like it.
