Non black people are now going back to their own music. They want to listen to their own artists again.

Wasn't a hot line. Not a hot post.

Rap just fell off and what you guys are calling "their own music" is just Black styles of music done in other languages. They are not "going back" they are actually keeping up for the first time since recorded music because the challenge is no longer insurmountable. Everyone does the same shyt across the board. Same sounds, same recording processes. Same tools.

Gen z is not going back to rock. They are still shuffling thru everything. The era of people being defined by one genre they listen to is outdated. Kpop can sound like pop, R'n'B and rap and still be categorized under one umbrella. Same with Latin music.

Not too far of an observation being that no rapper went number 1

i wish ya'll would stop investing so much energy into other groups emulating us, bragging on it, then making it an issue that they did, and (latest development) discussing that they're drifting away...

Asians in the west are making their own suburban pop/rnb, with of course some black stylings they got from us

And we will keep making stylish city music

I don't know about all that but the fact that an afrobeat song hit number 3 on the hot 100 is more impressive than it going number 1 in uk or most European countries because compare to Europe, African population percentage wise is low in the Americas. That means it's not just Africans liking these records and inflating their position on the charts like kpop and Latin music which have an advantage because their population are massive compared to Africans here.
