i can enjoy non-english music, though.. i used to listen to a lot of greek and japanese punk. the language barrier doesn't bug me.

the man you hear at the beginning and see performing in the street at the end is Juliano Mer-Khamis -- a Jewish/Arab activist (and a cousin of Shadia) that was gunned down by extremists for teaching Palestinian children suffering under occupation how to express themselves and how to use creative expression as a form of nonviolent resistance. the Jihadists weren't hearing that.
