:jbhmm:I should have put 50k+plus in income, but I assume you're thinking if the person gets a brand new one off the lot which you should never do:whoa: unless you have the money for it or the car is all electric like a Tesla(they tend to hold their value). The financially smart thing would be to get a certified pre-own from the dealer with less than 50k miles on it so that the first owner absorbs most of the depreciation and the car hasn't been driven into oblivion. :umad:You can get a Pre-Owned 2019 Lexus NX 300 F Sport for $34,000 compared to the original price of $60,000 saving you $26,000. Sadly most people who drive these vehicles damn near always get them brand new and can't afford the car payments. :childplease:I feel like as men we know what's up when we see this shyt, but the hoes don't know any better they just see a bruh pull up in a big name brand whip. shyt, they'll help you pay for it.:skip::deadrose:

Basically, it's doable depending on how badly you want it:hubie:
Maintenance/insurance/gas is more expensive, it's more than just sale price and the note.

These are the insurance rates for a BMW 3 series from Edmunds
i8aQdQl.png

Maintenance annually for a car with 50k or fewer miles with a reputable mechanic will be between $1500-2000 per year

Gas will be about another $2300 per year

Car note/Insurance of $450+$151.50=$601.50 a monthx12=$7218

Adding all this together you get $11,018 for the total ownership cost per year

If you make let's say, $85,000 a year before taxes as a single person going by the 2022 tax rate without a state income tax, I live in Florida, you get $66,300 after taxes. Deduct the cost of ownership by the after-tax income you're left with $55,282 per year and per month this is $4,600. you can do this with the 50k a year, but you will be juggling credit cards and cutting your bills close. If you're single without kids, $4,600 a month is more than enough unless you have other expenses that aren't the essentials such as food, utilities, health insurance, and if you add a partner making $35,000 after taxes to your income the odds are even better.

The 3 series isn't a mid-level luxury car. I'm sure that graph also represents quotes for someone with a perfect driving record which isn't guaranteed.

"A car" under 50K is too broad of a statement, I don't expect a 2 year old BMW to have the same yearly maintenance cost as my 2 year old Honda, not including unforeseen repairs.

The bolded is why I say you shouldn't do it, mind you the cost of living and tax rate is not uniform across the country. You also shouldn't be relying on a partner for breathing room for a luxury car, and that actually defeats the original idea of flossing in a luxury car to attract women if you're already with one.

Yes you "can" do it but you're playing with fire.

If she has Mackenzie Bezos money why is an advanced degree relevant?

:comeon:I never said the 3 series was a luxury car, I said the 3 series is a premium car, Once you had all the different options and trappings to these entry-level rides they can be jacked up to a mid-level luxury vehicle in terms of price even though they aren't the starting line up for the mid-level luxury segment of these different brands if that makes any sense.:umad:
:jbhmm:I agree with you on the total annual cost compared to your Honda. Looking online a general estimate would be a difference of $368 for the Honda civic vs $2000 for the BMW 3series 2019 model.

Also, I agree with you on the cost of living and tax rate not being uniformed across America but I guess we could use New York, Texas, Florida, and California as a base measure considering most Americans live in these 4 states and out of the 4 two of them pay the highest wages in America which are admittedly offset by the income tax and cost of living but generally balances itself out. :whew:Everything’s Bigger in Texas — Including Taxes, Which Are Outpacing California

Most people in America split their bills with their partner or family members if they stay with them in America, Now this doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to earn more so you don't have to rely on others for financial help but it's something to consider. :ehh:

I agree with you when it comes to "playing with fire". When I first made my post mentioning the whole income to car flex vibe to get women considering a lot of relationships out here appear transactional in nature it wasn't about promoting a lifestyle but rather acknowledging how certain people are living out here and using unorthodox methods to get women in an attempt to improve their love life or quality of life in general and it's ironic considering the cost of ownership as we have outlined in prior posts.:russ: Good night bruh. I felt like I typed up a goddamn Car and Driver article lol:deadrose:

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
I live in Orlando, Florida and I mostly see a few bruhs with spicy cacs and pawgs from time to time. shyt, I saw a couple the other day when I was at lowes prepping for the hurricane.:lolbron: @Cornershooter has said it best, a lot of bruhs on the coil failed to understand a man of any race can have his choice of women as long as he has the money to back it up. Make more than 50k a year after taxes and drive a premium mid-level car from brands such as Lexus, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and the panties come off faster than a social security deduction.:deadrose:

A BMW 3 Series isn't a luxury car? Premium, luxury, you're playing semantics.
