Noob Question About Mopping Floors

Ok so question
If I got a bucket, a mop & pine sol.
Do I fill water in the bucket & put the pine sol in the bucket water or do I not put the pine sol in the bucket but directly on the floor?

Also what exactly is the bucket of water for?
Because if I keep dipping my mop in the bucket won’t that be me using dirty water to mop my floor??

Don’t put it directly on the floor it needs to be diluted.

Dip the mop in the mixed solution and squeeze it out before putting it on the floor.

Use the solution until it gets too dirty then mix a new batch.

make sure you sweep first....the bucket is to repeat dipping/cleaning of the mop....less is more with the wetness of the mop.....make sure it drys all the way out before walking on it
