Sony wouldn't clear him for it. He was supposed to be on like 3 tracks for N.O.R.E (which had zero Trag involvment), and ended up on one for same reason. QB n!ggas beefin has always been a staple in hip-hop.

Edit: Ok so Nas was responsible for Sony not clearing it? HMMM...so what was the reason for the missing tracks from NORE

He wanted Nore to step his rap game up

i always suspected that trag was slightly jealous of nas since nas came out and took the spot that trag felt he shoulda had. that's just my theory though.

i did always find it kinda ill though that the one song that nas got clearance for with noreaga "body in the trunk", sounded like a tragedy diss or at least nas's verse did. and although nas singing the hook on "i love my life" was kinda :patrice: i don't get why columbia wouldn't clear it. as far as i know he didn't even drop a verse, he just sang the hook for that cut or at least he did on the snippet i heard off that noreaga sampler mixtape that dropped before the album. i'd love to have a full CDQ version of that jawn though.

either way, "Calm Down" and "Married To Marijuana" being cut from The War Report was a fukking travesty. that shyt fukking pissed me off when i copped the CD only to not find them anywhere on the album. I always add those 2 cuts to my version of the album.

NORE has one of the most unique flows ever in Hip-Hop...his verses were all good in the CNN days...

PS I never knew Lighty but I don't think he committed suicide

Pretty sure Trag was writing most of them. Also, I always wonder why Tragedy was credited with producing 'Parole Violators' when that's clearly a Havoc beat and even has Hav on the hook. Did Trag strong arm that away from Havoc or did he really produce it?

Yeah it was Jungle and Lakey callin him a crackhead. I always found it funny how they dissed the Infamous Mobb on that same skit and the song that comes on after that is family featuring Mobb Deep

Nah they wasn't dissin Infamous Mobb they was talking about Screwball.

I remember back in the days Nore said his label didn't want Nas on two tracks so he chose Body In The Trunk.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I know Tragedy doesn't like Nas at all. I always felt it was jealousy
It was DEF jealousy..lol..Nas was a young nikka who came in and smashed shyt and ALOT of them nikkas who was poppin in QB or was respected looked at him like that..they was used to bein the man in the hood and gettin they ego fed but when the world heard Nas all that other shyt didn't matter..cause they heard from a blank slate rather than a skewed perception cause they grew up wit these guys..
