I honestly never thought of Nas when I heard Pone rap before this thread..i guess I can maybe hear it a lil bit if I reach for the stars..it's funny how Trag was hatin on Nas but was tryna make the next Nas at the same time..lol

Well to me, aside from Havoc, almost all the Queenbridge cats of the new generation have the same style. It's almost how like 95% of all Harlem rappers have the exact same rhyme schemes

And yeah Tragedy really didn't know what he wanted. First he was righteous, than he comes back a thug, then he turns Blood. Like son was mad confused lol

I think the ones that was the most talented and/or different stood out...which is why Nas..Prodigy..Nore etc stood out when it came to all of them..

Good interview. Noreage seems like a real chill dude. I wasn't into Capone and Noreaga heavy but when I first heard them Noreaga stood out the most and completely overshadowed Capone in my eyes. He seemed to just have that charisma that made him stand out despite his average rhyme skills. On a side note is Tragedy the same guy Intelligent Hoodlum that did that song for the Posse movie soundtrack?

Im not hearing what you're hearing at all....perhaps on some level they both have a similar queens influenced type inflections, but at the same time 'pone had a really high-pitched, nasal whine, while Nas' sound was smooth and rich (no weezy!). They're rhyme styles couldnt be more disparate, imo....Nas is introspective, deep, complex, while 'Pone was always extremely basic.

You don't say no weezy. You say no Ocean
