If you believe a man is dumb based on that "choice", there was no real chance of him "choosing correctly" anyway. You're essentially saying dumb people go together. So what's the likelihood of a "not that smart" man choosing upwards? If that's the case no dummies would exist by now.

It's already been explained by someone that all forms/expressions of intelligence are not equal and doesn't guarantee life skills. Biology and physicality isn't going to be erased from mate selection.

Most children are in fact accidents or the woman manipulating the obscurity/privacy of her birth control options to lie about being on them or allowing herself to roll the dice.

I mean if you know a women isn’t intelligent and you plan a kid’s whole future with them, I think that’s incredibly risky knowing other smart people are out there choosing to make smarter kids. That’s who your kids will have to compete with. Not to mention the dumb partner who is unreliable bringing no help at all vs two parents creating an intelligent, excellent upbringing with many resources.

Smart people wouldn’t do that the mass mass majority of the time. Unfortunately many people today are dumb and people make dumb decisions: the American population today reflects that. Too many people reproducing with the bimbos and Chads (or whatever the male equivalent is).

I'm less interested in your educational background and more interested in how you think and why. That being said yes, all the women I've dated except one were professionals with a degree. That's my demographic so of course I gravitate to it. But I'm not dating someone just because they have a degree because you can have a degree and be an abject idiot. Flip side my mom didn't have a degree but is one of the smartest people I know with money and child rearing. Would I date someone exactly like my mom in those regards? Yea, without question. Because that shyt is important.

How do you perceive and handle money? How should children be raised? Are you argumentative? Do you read (not counting self help books)? Do you listen to more than one genre of music? How do you perceive art? To me those are some of the things I'm most focused on.

And women in particular cluster towards the mean, this has been acknowledged in other threads. An exceptional male is likely doing himself a disservice by developing tunnel vision in seeking his exact female equal.

But if you fail to account for intelligence, that man may have a lot more trouble down the road they have to deal with than if they were just single. Potentially two morons (wife and potentially child) ruining their life and draining resources. We’ve seen a lot of stories where kids have wrecked the guy’s life.

It’s just so much easier and less troublesome to filter for a smart partner with their morals and head on straight.

Yes that is true a lot of ppl with degrees only know their own subject and have no knowledge of general life stuff or other common sense things. She the breadwinner as a lawyer but he got himself a job too so he got to chip in.

It's not about a failure to account for it. It's about looking at the totality of that woman, especially if he truly wants companionship and family. Being smart enough and frankly jaded enough to live by exactly what you said here (GMB with no real desire to procreate)...but for most men, gifted or not, biology and society will prevail.

He ain’t dumb but he ain’t as smart as her. He’s just not. It’s not just an education thing either she smart as fukk.

Calling him the wife is making this a gender argument when it’s argument that you don’t need to be as smart as the person you’re dating. You can date a smarter woman, just know she is smarter and if she can probably logic/think her way through things better than you. Same as if you’re with a woman and you’re smarter than her, she should recognize the fact you’re smarter and defer to you.
