The body type is the beauty standard in Sudan(below girl in the train and black and white photo). Well..... in the North. I know that is the south the body type of beauty standard is alot more slender, or skinny, hence many of South Sudanese are models in the "west". Whereas in the North rounder shape or wide hips is preferred among the general population.

Well you guys have GOOD taste. I don't like the very mannish tom boyish built of Southern Sudanese women.

Lets just say, their preference if it is, is just different. Which is not bad, since many of them are shape like that, and they are making headway in the modelling industry in the "west". Whereas in Sudan, those women who does not comply to the local standards, sometimes go through great measures to gain weight, which is a contrast to western standards in the measure of body image.
