I was looking to possibly relocate to that area until i saw the cost of living there 1300 for a 1br 1 bth 600 sqft

I know what you're talking about....I'm in the 757 area and I was looking to make the jump up there cuz I love that area but when I looked in the paper the first ad i saw was 4 br house for $4000 a month 
I was like they can't be serious and like you said the 1-2 br start out at like 1000.....I still wanna make the jump up there I might check out Woodbridge...it aint as bad there

Try Trinidad out NE, if you're lucky you might could get a spot round 640 in Uptown. If all else fails, Simple City in SE got real affordable numbers.

Woodbridge/Lake Ridge is pretty inexpensive, granted, it's not in the glitz and glamor areas of Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax but you can live comfortably in a pretty decent sized house for cheap down that way.
