If they can figure out a way to do it....I wouldn't have a problem with it. Telling the athletes who won't make money "tough luck" though is just setting yourself up for more issues though imo. I don't see a solution.
I always thought a variation of creating a formula based on playing time, academics, etc to split the money between players and give it to them when they're done with their college career could work.

Overlook getting an education worth $60,000+ a year, while being given a platform for NFL scouts brehs.
While making billions of dollars for the NCAA

How is that a fair trade. Money is paid in the form if dollars not education

How is it not fair? No one forced the players to sign those LOI. They weren't tricked into accepting scholarships.

There is virtually no education a player gets from school which is worth the kind of money professional ballers see. Most people will never that kind of money in their life. The average bachelor degree annual return is nowhere near what a player gets from football contracts.

It's the only avenue to make professional money in their field.

The NCAA, NFL and NBA are all in collusion

The NCAA has an unlawful restraint of trade. It colludes to manipulate the price and output of players against competition laws and players' ability to enter the free market. The NCAA and NFL funnel players into the NCAA because there's no other alternative and then doesn't allow players to freely move from team to team or sign contracts for their labor.w

The logistics question is not what is in consideration. Paying people--whether athlete or otherwise--isn't rocket science and an employment lawyer or consultant can deal with the technicalities of payment. The question is whether college athletes are eligible for and can demand payment. If they are ruled their conditions qualify as employment conditions--which is what was ruled by the NLRB--then they can lobby for payments, insurance, among other things. I don't imagine the payment logistics will present any barrier.

I've been researching Title IX and it's not clear to me the statute obligates colleges to pay female athletes the same as male athletes. I read a law review article which actually argues against the notion that Title IX means equality of payment rather than equality of opportunity. Your strawman Title IX argument is crumbling, breh.

just got an alert on my phone saying the NLRB dissmisses a petition by NU football players seeking to form a union denying they're university employees.
