You do realize that the # of cases reported is a function of how many tests you give, right?

Norway has only had 3 deaths despite 1,226 cases.
America already had 69 deaths even though we're only reporting 3,802 cases.

So we have 23x more deaths even though only 3x more cases.

I like how other nations are pretending they can handle the onslaught of this virus. Its beyond comical to think Norway WOULDNT be overwhelmed if they have a real outbreak. No medical system in this world can handle the influx of virus patients. shyt, China literally had to build up hospitals due to over capacity. It will be the same story everywhere if it actually breaks out.

Read up on Norway's response to the virus. They don't disagree with you. That's why they're taking one of the most proactive responses of any nation out there, they're doing the best they can to stay ahead of it. I think they're especially vulnerable cause they're a cold-ass country in the winter so they had a lot of people vacationing all over the world who are just getting back now. I saw their outbreak simultaneously started from people arriving back from China, Iran, AND Italy. They probably have a longer "flu season" for that virus to cook in too if it follows similar patterns.

One of my co-workers who is Canadian says she may need to go back Because

1. She doesn't have healthcare here
2. The US medical infrastructure would be woefully unprepared of things go out of hand(particularly not having enough hospital beds)

Someone who actually works in the Canadian health care field can correct me if I'm wrong, but talking to my friends and family who do, ours (Canada) isn't in much better shape as a whole in terms of being prepared. Yeah being sick won't bankrupt you in Canada the way it could the U.S., but we still deal with overcrowded ERs, long wait times for surgeries, etc in a lot of major city hospitals.

If our situation gets as bad as Italy in terms of # sick we will be as fukked as they seem to be, trust me.
