Not becoming a Statistic Appreciation

On this eve of my 25th birthday, I would like to say I'm glad that I don't have any kids or a rap sheet. No stds (yet, we'll see how the night goes), I've lived in several differnent states on on my own as an adult and my debt is minimal. Just basic stuff like this shouldn't be a big deal but I'm a black man and the stereotypes aren't all necessarily false. you know what i mean!

Ah, now that all this adolescent is leaving my body, I think I can go to college and actually do well, focus on starting up my business, and continuing to wear rubbers!

Black excellence. I'm only 18 but still holdin' it down. My mother raised me right and I know I'm headed towards a successful life. I might not have made great stride like some of my brother's on the coli, but I'll be damned if I give up
