But, wow, some of ya'll are hyper sensitive about race. Chelsea Clinton used to get savaged by the media, the republic opposition, even some lefties. But, of course, I have to constantly remind myself when talking on these boards that a lot of you all are literally just kids with no sense of perspective or knowledge about even our most recent history. You were probably in diapers. But, if the kind of criticism Chelsea Clinton got was lobbed at Obama's daughters there's no doubt in my mind your heads would explode over how racist it is.

Real points. Chelsea used to get pure, unadulterated ether. Especially when she was on the cusp/just entering into puberty. :wow:

I think its fair to observe a pattern-recognition of republicans going after young Presidential offspring, and conclude that they are principle-free and depraved enough to go drinking from that well again and again, irrespective of race, because they really cant help themselves, but I dont know if its enough to invalidate that this comment was motivated in some ways by race.

Its a problematic social and cultural trope to deeply scrutinize the actions of young black children and teens, and inappropriately ascribe grown up motivations and descriptions of their being, which in essence robs them of their childhood innocence. Did she grab her "they look like they are going to the bar" line from that specific anti-black attitude? Judging black children as adults has presented significant burdens on younger black americans, with respect to harsh punitive treatments and otherwise.
