As it turns out, the bible says lots of things, but people don't always follow, do they?

I appreciate intelligent dialogue even if there is a disagreement.

I'm just referencing what the Bible says in terms of having children - they are a blessing. Nothing more, nothing less.

And no, having children doesn't guarantee that they will look after you in old age.

But as a nurse for going on 11 yrs now, i can say with confidence that having adult children be there for you in your old age is a beautiful thing.

They are an inheritance from the Lord. If you raise them right and invest in them, that's exactly what they will be to you, a blessing. Examples of black dads who investested in their kids -Matthew Knowles, Tiger Woods daddy, Venus n Serena daddy. And we all know how these men's kids turned out.
