27 with none, I'm by no means financially ready for children and won't be prepared career wise until I'm about 30. I acutally just had a convo with a young lady that literally made a brother and be thankful I'm in the position I'm in. I haven't met a woman I would be happy procreating with yet, I can't wait to have couple lil J's running around though

Nope I have my Godson , and two nieces I'll live the absent father who comes around once a month vicariously through them

I love being an auntie and god mother!
I feel for single parents...I don't see how they do it!
The freedom of being able to give the kid(s) back is irreplaceable! I love my nephew to death though!

Yea I'm not saying that just having kids makes you miserable by default but I know a lot of miserable people both at work and personally and they get mad at me like they didn't have a choice. I have 3 nephews and I love them all but they drive their parents batshyt most if the time, couldnt imagine dealing with that 24/7

I roomed with a girl in college who had a (single) cousin who was 21 with 4 kids already...

If I have a long term partner, then I won't be sharing my uterus with a baby for 9 long (and I've heard miserable) months...Instead I'll use travel the world with the money I won't be spending on children

However all ya'll talking this kinda shyt...get back @ me when u actually have 1 and look in their face for the first time, or hold them, or the first time they call u dadda or mamma, or watch them take their first steps

U'll never know the joy until u have 1. Having nieces or nephews or close friends with kids doesn't even come close to actually having your own.

Don't get it twisted if your young and having fun keep doing your thing if your not financially prepared then don't have 1. I was lucky enough to have my daughter @ 28 and I have a good job and so does my girl. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that its not hard or that it doesn't take a lot of responsibility...or even that u don't lose a piece of your social life, somehow its all worth it (u wouldnt understand until u have 1).

Again I'm not trying to change anyones mind, I'm just saying dont act like some people cant be perfectly happy with 1 (not a attack @ u personally)

I think that's the main reason why a lot of us in this thread don't want kids anytime soon. I know I don't.

The kids are the easy part. It's the person woman u decide to have them with which will determine your experience. I love my kids, but hate the bullsheit I have to deal with.
