Knew a few Swedish girls in college, it is how it works. They got hundreds a month even though they were abroad for no reason other than that they go to school.

Not only have you picked a specific instance that wasn't even from Sweden, but also just ignoring the larger picture that our homicide rate is 5x higher, much better wealth equality, etc.
There is no utopian society, Sweden is far from a utopia, but there are certainly some things they do much better than the US there aint no doubt about that

Welllll if you want Swedish model, no matter how much you earn in Sweden you're still paying that 30% tax rate. No wealth tax for the millionaires, in fact they are very soft to the richest so their businesses wouldn't leave their country.
The Scandinavian model isn't going to work in a huge country like America just like that immediately, as American wages are not rising so much that you could increase the taxes like Scandinavians do and tax even the poorest.
Sweden had crisis, stagnation and all the other things too and they avoided word war 2 which gave them a good start to build up their economy, same with Switzerland. It's not like they built their model so easy overnight. You can't just insert their model in a 300+ mil people country and call it a day.

I know the average student loan and medical debt is far more costly than what you will have to pay in taxes to get the same social safety nets as in Sweden
