Not to that extent because a receiver can get open based off of pure skill by his lonesome. An RB has to rely on pretty much the rest of the offense to set and hold their blocks long enough for him to make shìt shake, and them níggas stay getting injured.

BUT

There are so many good receiver prospects coming into the league that the market is going to become flooded with them. A Drake London-caliber WR seemingly comes out every year. I mean, how many came out just this past year? 10-15?

And shìt is also different because these guys usually pan out, unlike running backs.
It’s definitely different because with running backs, the league is more pass happy, and they’d rather invest in a good o-line, possibly have a running QB, and plug in any RB behind that line. With receivers, there are good ones coming out every year, so it’s like they don’t value good veteran receivers as much as they should.

With the way that receivers are coming into the league, they'd be able to find a replacement for him within a year or two.

His value is roughly equal to 2 solid receivers.
It's a stupid risk to take when you actually hit on a difference maker.

Titans flipped AJ Brown in 2022, tried to replace him with Treylon Burks who turned out terrible, and were so desperate they had to kick the tires on a flabby Hopkins and overpay for Ridley - and that room still might not be good.

He'll get his money, WR3 are getting like $7m per now days. Guys a tier down from CD are getting $20-25m per. The market is speaking and he's worth the money

Jerry hasn't done the contract negotiations for at least 10 years, that's all Stephen Jones. Jerry concentrates on the off field revenue generation
Bruh he's the owner and has a say....he also said he has no urgency to sign then tried to do some damage control after .....

Also kids for the past 10 years if you are the best athlete are now playing WR where as before the played RB

Cowboys should definitely pay him but up to a limit. I ain't with all these positions trying to reset the market with every deal so to me depends on how much Ceedee is asking for. Paying Dak and Ceedee damn near 40% of the cap combined isn't worth it IMO considering the team's lack of success while having them on cheaper contracts. I'd personally move on from them and try to rebuild through the draft.

Lamb has turned down a 33 million offer.

I think it’s best that the cowboys pay Lamb and then draft a QB and let Dak go into free agency. Lamb is worth keeping.
