Baltimore was smart not to push in some chips this season like some people were suggesting. They overachieved this season and still have some spots to fill.

I still don't think their lineup is all that. Their highest SLG was .489 and highest OPS was .814. There's nobody elite in there right now and they strike out a lot.

Obviously, their pitching has a long ways to go. They need to cash in on their abundance of positional players for some proven arms.

He won the 1996 NL Manager of the year award (with the Padres)
As manager He led the 1998 padres to the World Series(got swept by the Yankees)
As manager of the SF Giants, He won three World Series championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014
And now he’s leading the 2023 rangers to the alcs and a 5-0 record in this year’s playoffs

We can safely say that he’s got a pretty good resume
