The Yankees and Dodgers have a winning record every year. The Red Sox started winning World Series when they upped the payroll to compete with the Yanks. That's exactly how it works in the regular season.
The postseason is different because any team can compete but the regular season the big markets have an advantage.

They literally just won the 2021 series
Home run teams always lose in the playoffs. The pitching gets tighter and field shrinks. All about pitching. This is why Houston been so good.

I know. I'm just saying they remind me of those Yankee teams cause both teams are stacked.
Yankees had Jeter, Giambi, Bernie, Soriano.... later on Sheffield, A Rod, etc. Outside of 09, the stacked Yankees team era was a flop when it comes to the postseason.

I’m not arguing with fans of pretender teams
Win the World Series vs injured teams as an aberration ,but get eliminated in the divisional series
(potentially back to back) the woat Luck cubs eliminated a 100 win braves team in ‘03 nlds this is what the braves do fukk out my alerts

Few things with the way this is going:
1.) Philly is Atlanta's daddy if this winds up a sweep.
2.) MLB has to redo the playoff format. This isn't football where teams need the rest and recovery. Being in a groove is much more important and we see that just about every year. Go back to the one game Wild Card round. Those games were almost always close and exciting anyway.
3.) Atlanta might have a leadership vacuum. Even with the time off and rust, they aren't showing any fight so far.
