Interesting no one mentioned this but a lot of people factor in facial features when “determining” light skin. My daughter has extremely fine features but is not light. brown skin tone but no one EVER refers to her as brown skinned, they see her as light skin or mixed. And I see lighter people who for some strange reason they don’t call the light skin. It’s like a mental block for some people

This. Where I grew up it was either dark or light. I just always considered myself in the middle but never reallly thought about. Never heard the term "brown skinned" or had someone referred to me as light skinned until college. Seemed like a dumb thing to care about.

Yellow bones and red bones are light skinned but they have yellow and red undertones. She dudn’t appear light to me, but it depends on where you from. I know some people would call her light.
