Yes and no.

The term Christian arose in the 1st Century as a term/title of ridicule for people who were followers of Yeshua/Christ.

They were ridiculed for following the man who was crucified by the Romans and believed to have been ressurected after 3 days.

The proper term for a follower of Christ/Yeshua is disciple.

Disciple of Yeshua/Christ should be used since Christianity carries a lot of misinformation by a lot of people who are ignorant concerning authentic Historical Biblical Christianity.
