He doesn’t touch on this specifically — not from the EV standpoint because the main focus is on how dangerous and impractical larger vehicles are.I’m not watching the entire thing so maybe he touches on this. Does the problem of SUVs/Trucks from an environmental standpoint change when we become more EV friendly?
Gotcha. I’ll be honest I’m guiltyHe doesn’t touch on this specifically — not from the EV standpoint because the main focus is on how dangerous and impractical larger vehicles are.
Though he does touch on how larger vehicles require bigger and heavier batteries. So even if you have an electric SUV, it’s still going to retain all the other dangers, aside from emissions.
Alright so there is some unfairness going on here.Gotcha. I’ll be honest I’m guilty
I got a RAM Truck that I don’t need, but I wanted it and knew it would depreciate a lot less than a similarly priced luxury sedan. Also I like sitting up higher. I like the idea of being able to take it off-roading and being able to carry things like dirt bikes.
I mostly work from home and when my wife and I do go out we use an EV sedan.
This video got me thinking though. In a perfect world I told my wife I’d pay off the truck and we’d use it on a need basis and my primary vehicle would be a sedan. But maybe I switch out the truck somewhere in the near future and when the opportunity arises opt for a large vehicle that’s much cheaper for those one off scenarios
The Ford F-150 was the #1 selling car in America last year.City people who live in 500ft closets want to cry about pickups and SUVs
foh, in the rest of the world where we have enough space to stretch our legs out when we watch TV we need big vehicles. This is a shock to city folk, but pickups are damned useful if you live in the country or you have an actual laborers job.
