foh, in the rest of the world where we have enough space to stretch our legs out when we watch TV we need big vehicles. This is a shock to city folk, but pickups are damned useful if you live in the country or you have an actual laborers job.

You clearly didn't watch the video but all hes saying there is a larger portion of people that buy huge pickups and suvs and don't use them for their intended purpose. Most people only need regular cars and regular sized trucks. It hurts the roads and environment for people to have status symbols.

So what most? People who buy sports cars and sport bikes probably don’t race. Even EVs are a net energy drain even withour burning gas because they’re so resource intensive to build.

He's not really focusing on those that have trucks that live in the rural areas. He understands why people need them and also hardly cares one way or the other for their existence out there. He is arguing that is ridiculous to have in suburbia and especially in the city where there isn't much space for them either on the road driving or parking.
